A Fort Atkinson City Council Candidate Forum will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fort Atkinson High School Performing Arts Center, and is open to the public.
The Candidate Forum is hosted by nonprofit Citizen Leadership Forum of Fort Atkinson, in conjunction with the April spring election. On that ballot, Fort Atkinson voters will have the opportunity to choose from a field of four candidates to fill three open city council seats.
Candidates are (in order of appearance on the ballot):
Nathan Friedl
Peggy Huckabee
Davin Lescohier (incumbent)
Kyle Jaeckel (incumbent)
The City Council Candidate Forum will be moderated by Michael Clish, veteran news director,
formerly of WFAW and WSJY Radio, Fort Atkinson, according to John Donohue, executive
director for the host organization, Citizen Leadership Forum.
“This is the perfect opportunity for Fort Atkinson voters to meet city council candidates and ask questions about city government,” according to Donohue.
The forum will open with a two-minute introduction and opening statement by each candidate,
followed by prepared questions from the moderator where candidates will be given two minutes to
respond. Each candidate may then offer a one-minute challenge response. Members of the
audience will have an opportunity to ask their own questions or offer rebuttals to the candidates in
the second half of the forum, either by providing questions in writing (cards will be provided for
written questions at the forum) or may ask questions verbally.
The Fort Atkinson High School is located at 925 Lexington Boulevard. The event is open to the
public. For more information, call Citizen Leadership Forum at 920-397-7276.
